The importance of a soundtrack

Watching all of these soundtracks, and looking back on the ones we have been watching throughout the year, the thing that most stood out to me was the soundtrack. All the music from the documentary on the LA riots and the first one about steroids, the soundtracks really stayed with me. I also think the documentaries we are watching in class with documentaries, and more so with the documentaries with real songs, not just stock music or instrumentals, really give me a vibe that they are very high quality, even if I don't like the music as am not as interested in topic of the documentary. I tried to incorporate this idea into my own documentary (which you all have not seen yet) with some very quality music in it if I do say so myself.
