1rst generation

A lot of people don't expect us as latinos to go to college because of several stereotypes, but I think that it is not true because anyone can be able to go to college even if they're not as smart, everyone can be able to go to college as long as they try. Me as a Latina, I get told that I wont be going to college or that I wont be able to accomplish what I want to because I'm not "smart" enough and I think it is just because I'm Latina because I've never really heard of any other race that's been told the same thing, I may be wrong but I doubt it. As a first generation student, it has been harder for me to motivate myself and give myself the support since my parents couldn't get the same education so they don't really motivate me in the way I'd like them to because they don't really know much about how school works here but,  I hope one day I will be going to college and make them proud.
