Teen pregnancy presentation
From the results of the video that talked about teen pregnancy, I think that it is a big issue because I know a lot of teens that came out pregnant and now they struggling with their life. I think that teens should be more careful and parents should also pay more attention to what their kids are up to because a lot of parents just let their kids be and when something happens, like their child ending up pregnant, is when they care.

I think one of the big issues is our society's reluctance to be honest about pregnancy-prevention and the fact that (shocker) teens have sex and that abstinence only education doesn't work. As awkward as it may be to take your daughter to the doctor to get the pill or ask your son if he needs condoms, it's really important to give teens access to resources to prevent pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you Miranda, the educational system needs to teach students about sex education, not abstinence. Teens need to be informed about the risks and dangers of sex BUT ALSO how to be safe, using protection, and STI information. You know, all the important stuff.
