John lewis

The John Lewis documentary we watched really stood out to me because it showed me a lot of things one of them being that it really does take one person to make a change. Yes he didn't consider himself black and he just wanted to be himself even if that meant causing trouble and breaking the laws but to other people he meant hope. He was just trying to get through life but it's impacting how some peoples exenophobia can lead them to being so harmful to another human being. while i was watching this documentary I was looking back to the story of Emmet Till and how the color of a person is more important to the human eye than the life of someone. John lewis was detained for marrying the person he loved but emmet till was murdered because a white laddy claimed that he whistled at her, and it's not until recently that she says that what she said wasn't true. How can there be people so cruel it's not the fact that she lied but the fact that she blamed this child who she knew he had not done anything bad and let him get killed. No matter how much I try to think about it, it doesn't make sense that she could live with that and why would she do it.
