senior projects on difficulties of immigrants
Seeing all these presentations on immigrants I could sympathize with the difficulties they're experiencing. Such as language barriers, immersing with the community, getting legal rights to work, and earning citizenship. I myself came to this country as an immigrant, yet I was fortunate enough since my dad was recruited by a corporate to work for them. So I could say I had a steady support from my parent in some extent, but life in silicon valley isn't cheap plus we had to built our life from the start. My dad worked his ass off to pay our rents, buying us cars, putting food on the table, and made sure I had the right education. That wasn't enough for us so my mom started woking soon after, and then myself so that I could pay for my personal expenses. I'm blessed to have a father like mine and live a better life than others, but I know the bottom and struggles and have seen the other side of the valley from the labor work I'm doing. I have young 2 coworkers my age working to raise their 3 year old daughter, and college student working to pay his tuitions: around me nothing is granted. Tickets to college or employment at a corporate isn't given for free, and have to prove yourself you're better than the man next to you. That's the m that's what makes me motivate and strive for greatness and better life.
