Senior Activities are $$$$$
It's second semester senior year, and there's 2 weeks left until graduation, and in these short two weeks left, it is filled with senior activities. Such as, the senior picnic, grad night, and prom (yes I know it already happened). And as a senior, they expect everyone to participate, but what if you don't want to? I didn't go to prom, I did not sign up for the senior picnic, nor did I sign up for grad night, because as a senior, you do not HAVE to participate. When I had told people this they usually said something like "But it's senior year" or "It's prom though", pardon my french but that really does't mean shit to me. Yes it's my senior year and I'm just done with high school, and it really wasn't that great of an experience so why spend hundreds of dollars on activities that I really just don't care to do? I have to think about my future, and going off to college, it's extremely expensive and I need to save up whatever I can. Some people are extremely privileged around here and are lucky enough to have parents who are able to pay for their higher education. But that doesn't apply to everyone, some of us actually have to become adults as soon as high school is over, and pay for our own education, expenses, and bills.

I totally agree they say we can help you cover it so in a way they kinda know that the prices are really high and they spend a lot of time saying oh school is expensive after high school so if they really want everyone to participate they should make a better plan to get everyone together and not make it seem that they are obligated but more of a fun activity they want to join in without having to worry as much.
