Civil Trials for Ferguson

We learned about civil and criminals trials this year.  To be declared guilty in a criminal trial, all 12 jurors need to agree, while in a civil trial there only needs to be reasonable doubt.  From many witness testimonies, we know that Darren Wilson did kill Michael Brown, but Wilson could have shot in self-defense.  Brown's family filed for a civil trial against Darren Wilson.  I think that civil trials are good because they allow the family/victim to receive compensation for their injuries or in this case the death of their family member. This trial will be interesting because they only need reasonable doubt from the jury that he shot Brown on purpose.
