Case Studies
For the past couple of weeks, we have been watching many different films. These films have been on case studies from some individuals and their incidents in the past. This unit was very interesting because of the amount of different views that we got too look at for each case. Each case was different in its own way either because of the age of the victim or suspect, the crime committed, the final sentence for the suspect, or just the overall crime. In each case it was very noticeable that each suspect would try and use an alibi or an excuse for the reasoning of the crime that was committed. This unit defiantly taught me a lot about different sentences that are given to people who are proven guilty.

I agree with you with the fact that there are so many different views that can be seen on just one crime. Those types of views can really influence a trial, whether that be in a good or bad way. I think that it is really important to listen to all information of a trial first before drawing your own conclusions because by doing that, you will be able to see all the information presented without having an bias.
ReplyDeleteI thought some of the alibis that were used in the strange defense cases were especially interesting. I never thought that people could come up with some fairly absurd alibis and get away with them. I also agree with you and Audrey on the fact that there are a lot of different ways that just one case can be looked at.
